Torque Converter - Upgraded
Quadstar's direct replacement torque converters for all 4L80E equipped automatic transmission 6.2L and 6.5L diesels. They retain the stock low stall speed but utilize an improved fin design for a more efficient and firm torque multiplication and have the upgraded billet lockup piston for more holding power while doubling the effective service life for clutch lockup cycles. Don't skip this often overlooked wear item during your build or refresh!
Available in standard steel construction or with an optional upgraded billet steel cover. The billet cover completely eliminates the chance of ever having any housing flex or mounting pad failure. Both use the 6 pad mount design.
Stall Speed Option:
- Low - Factory for 6.5L - 1800-2000 RPM
- This is the most common option to directly replace the stock converter
- High - 2200-2300 RPM
- Less common. Typically used to spool bigger turbos in unique applications only
