All returns that are not core returns require an RMA #. Customers must email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request an RMA # before returning any products.
Returns are only accepted at our discretion, and 20% restocking fees will apply.
Refunds, Returns, Core Fees
ALL refunds are subject to additional 3% fees (4% for international orders) due to industry-wide changes originally implemented in 2019 and 2020. This includes cancelled orders, item returns, core charges, etc. This is not a policy unique to Quadstar as it is just being passed down to us now by companies like PayPal, Amazon, and Shopify who process online payments.
Example 1: You purchase injectors and pay a $100 core deposit, you will get $97 back instead of $100.
Example 2: You place a $1000 order and ask us to cancel it the next day. You get back $970 ($960 if it's an international order).
Example 3: You place an order that has already shipped and wish to return it. You will pay the payment processing fees, restocking fees, and shipping if the items are returned after receiving an RMA #.
Phone Calls and Messaging
We maintain an active phone number and many messaging platforms for you to get in touch with us. Please leave us a voicemail every time you call so we can triage and respond when we are available. We can't answer the phone when we are shipping existing orders out for the day or developing awesome new products! Messaging is always open and feel free to remind us if we miss something. Facebook is not the greatest software ever developed and has many glitches, so we will not be mad if you send follow up messages!
We no longer offer tool rentals
We frequently deal with used PCM cores for the 1996+ 6.5L Diesels. Due to their age, it is possible that a tuned PCM that you receive will have an issue. If this does occur, we apologize. We do our best to test all cores but 20+ year old parts can present a unique challenge. We will send a replacement item as soon as we have a return shipping tracking number and have spoken to the customer directly to troubleshoot the issue.
When a core return is required per the product listing and/or purchase, the allowable return period is 60 days from purchase. Any cores that are returned after 60 days will be refunded at 50% of their original value.
Include a copy of your original order or invoice with ALL core returns to ensure the credit is applied to the correct account. Returns frequently come from shipping addresses or businesses that differ from the original order. This makes it impossible for us to know what we are receiving.
Return shipping labels "call tags" can be provided at customer request but are not sent by default. This is because our ordering system can not automatically generate them. The customer will be billed actual shipping cost before we will email the label.
Under no circumstance is an order guaranteed to ship immediately. If you have a deadline to meet, please contact us before placing an order. Off the shelf items generally ship in 1-3 business days since we maintain an accurate inventory system on the website, however, we can only be expected to meet certain delivery dates if you set that expectation with us ahead of time. Please understand we are a small business catering to a 20+ year old platform and that does not fund a team to process every order immediately. We will do our best if you give us the chance so feel free to stay in touch!
Some of our products are custom built to order. The shipping estimates on our website may not indicate the EXACT arrival estimate for your items. This is especially true for single and multi-position tunes. We would be glad to refund any erroneous shipping charges if you select an expedited service and feel that is not the level of service you received on select custom parts.
Shipping is automatically calculated based on the weight and size of certain products. USPS and UPS process this information in real-time to generate shopping cart shipping prices and it is not under our control. Shipping delivery dates provided by the website are generic, ESTIMATED, and in no way guaranteed to be exact. Refunds for shipping will only be considered for orders where the customer had prior written contact with us a date was guaranteed for a specific delivery date. Please contact us if you feel there is an issue with your order.
Shipping insurance is not the responsibility of Quadstar Tuning LLC. Customers must purchase their own third party shipping insurance if desired.
International shipping rates often force us to use USPS Express. There are cheaper options but they do not offer tracking once the item leaves the United States, which is often not satisfactory.
Any of our products that are purchased from us via wholesale through third party vendors must be supported by that third party vendor. If you are having issues getting support; please let us know so we can notify them. Support and warranty directly from Quadstar Tuning LLC should not be expected unless you purchased the products(s) directly from our website.
Performance Parts Disclaimer
Our parts are sold for off-road use only. All performance modifications and installations are at the customers own risk. Quadstar Tuning LLC (QST) holds no responsibility either implied or otherwise for mechanical, electrical or other failure when using any aftermarket performance products. Items sold for off-road use only are illegal in many states and provinces and are intended for racing vehicles which may never be used on a public road.
By purchasing any aftermarket performance product, the customer takes full responsibility for any use, and/or misuse of the product and agrees that QST holds no responsibility for any consequences, legal, or other, of such use and/or misuse.
